- Generation of 3D
models from Tomographic Data
Amit and Nilanjan Karfa
- Tomographic data results in images of different layers in a 3-D
object. The problem is to reconstruct this into 3-D models.
-
From Footprints to Animation
Apurva Prakash
and Ashutosh Nandan
- Positioning articulated objects such as animals is a
very complex problem in graphic simulation. Here, a walking gait is
defined based on each footstep and its duration.
- NC Code
Generation for Layered Objects
Chetan M Raval
and Amit S Kumthekar
- A layered or 2 1/2-D object is one that is built up by
combining a set of right-prisms (z-sweeps of x-y polygons). Thus all
faces are either parallel to the x-y plane or the z-axis.
-
Wireframe
Reconstruction from Orthographic Views
DS Sastry,
Pabitra Kumar Behera, and
Nilanjan Sasmal
- Takes three orthographic views of an object and re-creates
the wireframe from the views, like the wireframe shown.
Some images cannot be reconstructed.
-
Synthesis of Special Type of Stepheson's Six-Bar Mechanisms
and Analysis of Higher Pair Mechanisms
Gaurav Shukla
- This has two parts. In the first parts, a class of six-bar
mechanism is synthesized given the coupler curve, and the second part
contains the analysis of a six-bar (sewing machine) linkage with a
higher-pair (cam input).
-
Database Management under AutoCAD R14
Kamlesh K
Bhatt and Barun K Sharma
-
Links DBMS information from withing AutoCAD using the AutoCAD
SQL Environment (ASE). Links bill of materials to drawing information.
-
Spline-Based Smoothing for Cam Profile Design
MB Joshi and
Swapnil B Chandsarkar
-
Cam profiles are often defined as a set of displacement points,
which is noisy and may result in jerky accelerations. In this
project cubic splines are used to generate smooth acceleration
diagrams, which is then used to obtain the cam profile.
- Trajectory
Simulation of the PUMA-560
Swaroop K Chalasani and PAV Prasad.
-
Given a set of points through which the robot has to move, the points
are interpolated to obtain path points, which are used to obtain the
motion coordinates through inverse kinematics.
- Quadtree Models
for Quad-based Finite Element Meshing
Srinivasa Rao
Sureddi
- Given a 2-D shape, this model generates a quadtree
decomposition of the shape.
-
Selection of Candidate Bases for Rapid Prototyping by layered
Manufacturing
Sreangshu Acharyya
-
Rapid Prototyping operations usually build up the object in layers.
Overhangs require expensive supports and sloping surfaces create
roughness (staircasing). How can one select an orientation direction
to optimize the fabrication of RP parts?
