Trip report: Siemens, Munich

General

Siemens has many campuses in Munich. The campus we visited was the second largest, with 8000 employees. A good part of the campus consists of research labs.

The Siemens research labs operate in a manner in which they are not fully funded by Siemens. Part of the funding comes from the Govt. And part of it has to be earned from making marketable products for other divisions of Siemens.

Overview

The main purpose of the visit was to learn more about Siemens' work on Service Composition (Bhaskar) and Value-Based Pricing (Jimmy) and look for possible areas of collaboration.
