In this talk, we present a short overview of HP Labs as an engine of innovation for HP and its research areas. Then, after presenting some of the key innovations from the labs over the past several years, we present the ongoing projects in the areas of human augmented computing, on-line personalized learning and collaboration, smart mobile services, simplified interaction technologies for the average users, and secure collaboration services. Within the above context, we present some of the key research areas we are working on and the results we have obtained. Finally, we conclude the talk with a summary of key research challenges to enable the businesses to fully exploit the vast amount of knowledge and information that is becoming available.
