Agropedia is a social-semantic web platform integrated to a mobile phone delivery system, specially designed for agriculture. It has several innovations like knowledge models(light weight ontologies), automatic tagging, appliances, agroid(agropedia on android),.. The delivery service model developed by agropedia is being rolled out all over the country in the new Five Year Plan. This talk will introduce you to what is agropedia and will discuss some of the software engineering practices that proved useful in building it.
