Time: 4PM
Venue: CS101.
Abstract:
I will talk on my recent research which aims at bridging the gap between cryptographic and systems research. The focus will be on cloud security, security in smart grids and ad hoc networks. Cloud computing and smart grids have recently gained a lot of attention from both academics and industry. Access control mechanisms in cloud computing and smart grid will be discussed, to ensure access only to authorized users. I will show how Attribute Based Encryption (ABE) and different variants of it can be tailored to suit the specific needs of the above applications. I will also discuss my recent work on ad hoc networks and present a number of open problems.
