Abstract
While WLANs are making it convenient for end users to be net-connected, it is also making it easier for intruders to connect to your network. This talk is about the emerging WLAN intrusion threats not solved by new security standards such as 802.11i. New intrusion detection and prevention systems are coming up to address these threats. We will discuss key desirable elements of such systems and technical details of some of them. The talk will be followed by proof of concept demonstration of one of AirTight Network's intrusion detection and prevention product.
