Abstract
Router design has gone through a kind of an evolution cycle since mid-eighties. We will talk in detail about the this paradigm change besides covering basic architecture of today's router. In the second half of the talk, we will cover Metro-ethernet, an upcoming choice for cusotmer-UNI.
About the Speaker
Sandeep Jain has done BTech (CSE) from IIT Kanpur in 1999. He finished his MS from Purdue University in 2001. He joined Juniper Networks immediately after that. He works as a system sofwtare engineer.
