c. I have made following general rules based on my eye gaze data
1. I fixated my eyes at stating of the sentence and ending of the sentence for a longer time period. The reason behind doing this may be that I want to comprehend the sentence or guess what should be written in next sentence here before I move to the next sentence.
2. I have not fixated my eyes at prepositions for a longer time because I use it as a stimulus to find the relation between words around it.
3. I have fixated my eyes at the starting of the sentence for a longer time period in comparison to the end of the sentence. It may be because I was thinking what are the possible actions, which can be performed by subject of that sentence. It helps me to surf over the sentence confirming my guess.
4. I have skipped those sentence, which tells about the qualities of the person. I do so because I am not interested in knowing how much intelligent the protagonist is.
5. I have fixated my eyes at emotional word for a longer time period. Thinking the cause and magnitude of the mentioned emotion. We, as a human, are always sensitive to others feelings, to show them our empathy.
6. I hover above the sentence in white space so that I can do not have to analyse much information. I find it efficient and fast to invent my own story by taking important keywords from the text. There may other possible reasons. It is that I am reading two sentences at a time, one consciously to get keywords and another unconsciously to confirm my story.
7. Usually I look at a word from top to bottom. This confirms with my difficulty in reading the text if it is turned in opposite way.
8. I fixate my eyes from white space to a sentence only when I find that this sentence may contain some information which is the main feature of the reading paragraph.
NOTE: I was not able to read the whole paragraph because operator started the new task.
a. I backtracked my only once in the given reading task at the word “constancy”. Heat sink at this word is normal because I do not want invest my time with any word. Since I rarely find this word, so to confirm the spelling of the word, I re-read this word by backtracking it. I am not considering the backtracking which I did at the end of the reading of second paragraph.
b. I have fixated my eye for longer time period at following words.

c. I have made following observation based on my eye gaze data
1. I fixated my eyes at the end of every line to invent my own story based on the selected keywords which I think are significant to understand the text.
2. I do not often read biology, so I needed to read this phrase “organism’s response to the environment could be inherited” very carefully. I have also partially backtracked this phrase.
3. I fixated my eyes at helping verbs (“may”, “were”) for a longer time period. I paid attention to the word “may” because I was encountering something related to organism second time. So I was trying to guess what should be written after word “may”. I paid attention to the phrase “were ignored” to give myself enough time to keep just read fact in my mind.
4. I fixated my eyes at these phrases (“oppositions”, “the odds”, “be accepted”, “two of his” etc.) for a longer time period because I was trying to recall the theory of Darwin.
5. I did not get the associated subject with the word “was low”. So I paused there for a moment.
6. Just before the end of reading, I fixated my eyes at all three last words to relax by finishing the reading task.
