Hi! I am Souvik Mukherjee, a dedicated and passionate computer science researcher currently pursuing my M.S. (by Rerearch) in Computer Science and Engineering (spec. Cybersecurity) at the भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, कानपुर. With a robust academic background, including a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from VIT Vellore, I have consistently demonstrated my ability to excel in both theoretical and applied aspects of technology.
My research interests lie in digital forensics and cybersecurity, where I have made significant strides in projects like detecting GAN-based and Photoshopped morphs with high accuracy. My technical expertise spans across various domains, including cryptography, hardware security, machine learning, and software development.
Throughout my academic journey, I have undertaken numerous projects that showcase my ability to tackle complex problems. For instance, I developed a real-time sign language calculator using deep learning, which can accurately recognize hand gestures and perform mathematical operations. Additionally, I have contributed to the development of a chatbot designed to assist students in preparing for competitive exams, utilizing OpenAI's API for efficient document retrieval.
In addition to my academic and research pursuits, I have held various positions of responsibility, including serving as a Teaching Assistant and a Student Guide at भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, कानपुर. My work experience at L&T Technology Services further honed my skills in engineering and project management. I also secured an All India Rank of 507 in GATE CSE, standing out among over 1 lakh candidates nationwide.
