Research
I am a PhD candidate in Computer
Science at the University of
California at Berkeley. My advisor is Prof. Randy Katz. I
worked on the ICEBERG
project. I'm currently part of the SAHARA team.
My broad research interests are in networking and distributed
systems. In particular, I'm interested in research issues that span
these two domains. I'm also interested in heterogeneous network
integration, mobile and wireless networking, networking protocol
design, network measurements, and operating systems.
- Thesis work: I'm working on "An Architecture for
Performance and Availability Constrained Composition of Services
across the Wide-Area Internet". Read more here...
- ICEBERG: Along with other graduate students, I worked on
the development of the ICEBERG architecture.
My (outdated) page on ICEBERG is here.
- Universal Inbox: The Universal Inbox is a metaphor for
any-to-any communication in an integrated network. It provides
extensible personal mobility and service mobility. I
worked on this for my Master's thesis. Read more here...
- ICEBERG GSM Testbed: I worked with Sreedhar Mukkamalla
and Jimmy Shih to integrate a GSM Base-Station with the
Internet. This was a crucial part of the ICEBERG testbed.
