Fig 1: Red agent 2 is "pushed" out of its right flank by its approaching teammate. It rushes towards goal and past the approaching defenders.
 

Fig 2: Red agent 2 centralizes and moves towards goal. Note however that it stops on seeing the advancing yellow defender to avoid being offside. In the end, it is in ideal position to receive a pass and shoot.
 

Fig 3: Red agent 2 displays a very interesting trajectory here.
Initially, repulsion from the yellow defender ahead of it causes it to go towards the centre. At the centre the repulsion of the other two players and the attraction to goal makes it moves forward again. It stops just at the offside line. (Subsequently, the yellow agent moved towards the ball and the red agent 2 was left stranded in an offside position).
