The alpha-visualizer has the following modules :

• Detri :
It uses randomised incremental flip algorithm to construct
Delaunay triangulations from the input point data.


• Mkalf :
It computes the alpha intervals for all simplices that Detri
generates.


• Alvis :
It's an alpha-shape visualizer that provides the graphical
interaface and also helps to change the value of alpha.

Scaling :

Here the basic idea is to incorporate dimensionality to the alpha-visualizer. When the point set S is scaled down to a lower scale, the number of points that describe the object is reduced, so that the time to generate the surface is lesser. This is done at the expense of losing some minute details about the object.
