Welcome! I am currently immersing myself in the world of High Performance Computing as an MS Research student in Computer Science Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. The power of computing to transform and accelerate scientific research is what drives me.
My journey so far has given me the opportunity to manage and work on High Performance Computing Clusters. This has not only honed my technical skills but also taught me the nuances of optimizing computational resources for maximum efficiency.

Research
My research is focused on High Performance Computing (HPC) systems, which are crucial for various scientific and engineering applications. However, the simultaneous execution of several parallel applications on these systems can lead to network contention, negatively impacting performance. My work involves real-time visual analysis of network congestion to help identify and mitigate the underlying causes of performance issues.
While prior works have analyzed application performance degradation due to network interference, they do not focus on real-time correlation of performance degradation with the system-wide network congestion. Unlike these approaches that require system-level changes, my method uses readily available tools.
My method visualizes the entire supercomputer traffic and allows users to monitor their application’s communication path and network traffic in real-time on any Infiniband-equipped system. This novel approach uses Infiniband network counters for real-time monitoring of network traffic, providing insights into interference-induced degradation and identifying potential contention sources.
This emphasizes the importance of visual analysis of real-time network contention for comprehensive performance analysis. My research aims to enhance the efficiency and performance of HPC systems, contributing to advancements in the field.
